On Monday, February 25, 2025, a delegation from the International Monetary Fund paid a working visit to the CTRF headquarters.
The President of the CTRF, Mr. Saoudia Mohamed, accompanied by executives of the Unit, welcomed the representatives of the IMF to the premises of the new headquarters of the Unit.

After a word of welcome, the President presented Algeria's action plan to exit the FATF gray list, evoking the main actions undertaken and highlighting Algeria's will and capabilities within the framework of this national action plan.

IMF representatives took advantage of this opportunity to learn about the various actions undertaken by Algeria as part of its national action plan and national system to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT), and expressed their willingness to continue supporting Algeria, particularly in the areas of expertise and consultation.

For their part, the President and the executives of the Unit took the opportunity to provide clarifications to the IMF representatives, while outlining the areas that require support from the IMF, such as training for analysts and trainers, legal support, technical assistance, virtual assets, etc.

Throughout the meeting, fruitful discussions and exchanges took place concerning the role of the Unit in supporting the national system to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT).
