On January 21, 2025, a delegation of about thirty officers from the National Gendarmerie Command visited the Financial Intelligence Processing Unit (CTRF) in Algiers

The President of the CTRF, Mr. Saoudia Mohamed, accompanied by several officers from the Unit, welcomed this delegation.

This visit is part of the Cell's increased commitment to awareness-raising, exchanges and cooperation between the various stakeholders, as well as support for the national system for combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT). It gave rise to fruitful discussions and exchanges, particularly concerning the role and responsibilities of the Cell, improving the quality of the Declaration of Suspicion, digitalization, as well as the challenges faced by the Algerian financial and banking sector in this area. The participants expressed their interest in organizing similar meetings with CTRF executives, in order to strengthen cooperation and exchanges, and to support the national system for combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT). For his part, the President of the CTRF praised the role of the National Gendarmerie Command in this area and expressed his willingness to strengthen and improve these exchanges, with a view to signing a memorandum of understanding between the two parties.

At the end of this working session, the representatives of the ministry were invited to visit the operational services of the CTRF.
